Our Ministries

Congregational Care Team... We care for our membership, with special emphasis on those in need.  i.e. those who are hospitalized, in nursing homes, or shut-in's, keep us all connected by cards at special times and greeting us at worship.  We also plan special fellowship events throughout the year.  We meet every Wednesday @ 1:30 PM

Covenant Visitors... We visit our shut-ins, nursing home residents and those who are hospitalized, providing prayer, upper room devotional booklets, and supportive love.  We meet every Monday (except during summer).

Evangelism Team... We reach out to the local community to offer Christ to all.  We help to plan, and advertise. We invite people without faith, and those without a church home to worship themes, studies and events that are offered by FUMC.

Youth...  We are the Youth Group of the Weslaco First United Methodist Church.  We meet weekly for fellowship and to plan ministry and mission.

Missions Team... We plan local, district and world mission projects supported by FUMC.  We are especially involved in local mission support for La Mesa Mission Church, visiting mission teams, and our own Weslaco First Methodist Church sponsored work across the border.
