Dear Pastor Roberta,
WOW!!!!!!! What a service. It is now one p.m. and I’m still smiling and laughing. What an uplifting service.
Tell’s and us headed to breakfast to meet other friends from Ranchero Village who attend park church services. Our big discussion on the way was what a great job you are doing and should we wear our hats into the restaurant. We finally decided to wear them and on arriving we were met by Herb and his friend and he went back to his car to retrieve their hats.
Everyone in the restaurant looked up and smiled as we headed for our private room. Our friends broke out in laughter and wanted to know if we had all gone to church dressed like we appeared before them. Yes was our answer and we proceeded to tell them what they had missed.
One couple said if they had known they might have come along. We were a good advertisement for Weslaco First United Methodist Church and hope we see some of our friends attending there in the future. We shared the picture of the smiling Christ and told a few of the jokes. We are saving the bean joke till our bean supper for Father’s Day. Our entertainment will be a sing-a-long advertised as “music after dinner”.
