Every August, adult prayer buddies commit to pray for a teen throughout the school year.  Prayer buddies receive a student’s name, address, grade, and birthday; and are asked to pray daily for that teen.  Sending notes or cards are encouraged, but we ask that you do not reveal your name or personal address.  Sign “your prayer buddy at First United Methodist Church” and put the church address rather than your own.  Last year we did not have as many adults sign up in covenant to pray as we had teenagers.  We encourage those who have never participated in this ministry to become a part of something that will make a difference in your life as well as in the life of one of our young people.    Would you join in this powerful ministry prayerfully supporting our youth in this important time in their lives?  Please call Barbara Kendall at 968-8206 to volunteer, or email Barbara at barbkendall57@msn.com.
